We built this house in the summer of 2014 for a client who already owned the property and the property already had one rental house on it.
The carriage house we built on it is now also a rental house. Its a very efficient and well laid out 950 square feet of living space and went together very quickly.
The project came in under budget and ahead of schedule and turned out quite nice. With carriage houses being new to our region, it was also nice to see that the cost per square foot does successfully scale down when you reduce the size.
The concept of carriage houses is new to Nanaimo and has been well received. Anyone considering building one should contact Boehm Construction, as we have experience building this one.
